Well I’ve Gone And Done It.
I didn’t plan to buy the iMac for a few weeks, if at all, but today was shopping Sunday here in Maastricht and whilst in town I popped into the Apple Reseller. Anyway after a short chat to confirm that they would supply it to me TAX free, because I work for the military overseas, I purchased a 24″ iMac with wireless keyboard and mouse for €1500 (£1000), which all things considering is not too bad a deal. Now the only issue I have is that I have to wait for the UK wireless keyboard because Maastricht, for obvious reasons, only carry the Dutch keyboard. I will boot the machine tomorrow when I borrow a keyboard from a friend.
So here goes, I am now a Mac User, and for better or for worst my journey begins here.

Philip:
Here is a link to a website where you may not need to worry about being “bashed” for Windows: http://macosg.com/index.php.
It’s free and has a number of forums. Now that you own a Mac, I’d like to know how your fellow Windows users will treat you. Every time I mention the Mac around a bunch of them, I get the same old “Macs, they’re just toys,” “There’s no software for Macs,” “Macs are too expensive,” and “Oh, you’re one of THOSE.”
Have fun with your new iMac and if you need any help drop us a line. We’re more than happy to help or at least point you in the direction of a few good web sites. Here are two others to get you started:

Cheers!
